Pycnogenol is a purely natural plant extract derived from the bark of the coastal pine (Pinus maritima), native to southern France. Pycnogenol contains a particularly high concentration of oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs), which belong to a large group of plant flavonoids. Ideally, these are found in Pure Encapsulations Pycnogenol 50 mg. Like all Pure Encapsulations plant extracts, the pine bark extract is also tested for 70 different pesticides, among other things. This ensures the product is free of pesticide residues.
